The Fallacy Of Evolution (Part 3)

The Bible claims that God created all things: Psalms 33:6, “By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth” ; Hebrews 11:3, “By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear” (cf. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 20:11; John 1:3; Acts 17:24; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 4:11, etc.). In our last study we noted a number of quotations from scientists affirming that science proves evolution. We also noted from credible scientists that these arguments are REFUTED. In this study we want to establish that the claims of the evolutionists are disputed by credible established laws of science.

The Law of Biogenesis. This law simply states that “Life begets life.” This law teaches that life does not originate from non-living material. This is a recognized “law of science” and is in harmony with creation, but not with evolution. Yet, evolutionists believe in “Spontaneous Generation,” which means life spontaneously generated from non-living matter. Louis Pasteur won first prize in the French academy of science in 1862 because his experimentation and research PROVED ONCE AND FOR ALL that living things are a product of living matter (See Creation Research Society Quarterly, January 1966, page 6). Spontaneous generation has been proven to be false and unscientific, yet it is still held by evolutionists as FACT.

Non-intelligence cannot give rise to intelligence. The Evolutionists cannot explain intelligence, morals, or the purpose of man. Human beings have more than just flesh or material. Yet, science cannot explain man's inner being, power of thought, consciousness, man's hopes, aspirations, or reasoning. Man can seek for peace, have guilt, appreciation, virtues, feelings, compassion, understanding … all of which science cannot determine. “If my mental processes are determined wholly by the motions of atoms in my brain, I have no reason to suppose that my beliefs are true … and hence I have no reason for supposing my brain to be composed of atoms … If man is nothing more than an evolving organism, then we have no sense to duty. It is beyond the realm of science, the comprehension of why we are here” (J.B.S. Haldane). Very simply, the water is boiling, but why is it boiling?

Laws of Thermodynamics. From Ferrell Jenkins' material in Introduction to Christian Evidences, pages 21-22, we learn that “matter has not existed eternally. A number of scientists cite the first and second Laws of Thermodynamics against the idea that matter has existed eternally, and against the theory of evolution in general. Notable among these is Dr. Henry M. Morris, who was head of the Department of Civil engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, until 1970 when he resigned in order to devote full time to combating evolution. He became director of the Institute for Creation Research in San Diego, CA. ‘Of all people, there is perhaps less reason for the scientists, than for any other, to accept evolution. By its very nature, evolutionary history is beyond the reach of his scientific method, having to do with origins, with events of the prehistoric past which are nonrepeatable and nonmeasurable’” (Morris, “Seven Reasons for Opposing evolution,” Studies in the Bible and Science, page 145).

The First Law of Thermodynamics. “This is the law of energy conservation. This defines the state of measurable universe as one of quantitative stability. No energy (which includes everything) is now coming into existence. No energy is being created or destroyed. This Law says that matter is eternal, or it had a beginning. Which?” (Ferrell Jenkins, Introduction to Christian Evidences, page 21).

The second Law of Thermodynamics. This is defined as the law of energy deterioration, the process of entropy. That is, everything tends to become less organized, to become disordered, to decay and die. Everything is “running down.” It is like a top that spins slower and slower, indicating that someone started the spinning, it had a beginning. Dr. Van Rensselaear Potter said: “Man has long been aware that this world has a tendency to fall apart. Tools wear out, fishing nets need repair, roofs leak, iron rusts, wood decays, loved ones sicken and die, relatives quarrel, and nations make war … We instinctively resent the decay of orderly systems such as the living organism and work to restore such systems to their former or even higher levels or organization” (“Society and Science,” Science, Volume 146, page 1018, October 24, 1964). The Bible confirms this to be so. Hebrews 1:10-11 says, “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands: They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment.” Romans 8:20-22 also affirms this, “For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” Evolution contradicts this by teaching that the universe is still evolving, developing or becoming more organized and complex.

Furthermore, it is biologically impossible. Evolutionists claim that reptiles evolved into birds, yet reptile lungs contain millions of tiny air sacs as do mammal lungs, however the lungs of birds have tubes rather than sacs. How could a creature with a lung half of sacs and half of tubes survive? Evolutionists claim that amphibians evolved into reptiles, yet how could the thick simple amphibian egg, designed to develop in water, be transformed by slow changes to the complex thin membrane forming a closed sac around the embryos of the reptile designed to incubate in the air? Such changes are biologically impossible. Life could not survive the changes in structure proposed. It would be biological suicide and unscientific.
